Region

The private islands offer villas only

On the private islands you stay only in villas, each with its own pool and the sea right outside. On the Ummahat Islands in the Al Wajh lagoon, close to the barrier reef, lie The St. Regis Red Sea Resort with 90 villas and Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, with 63 villas.

About 25 kilometres off the coast lies Sheybarah with Shebara, 73 villas in polished stainless steel, 38 of them over the water. Your island journey starts at the Turtle Bay Hotel on the coast, and a boat takes you across.

Nujuma comes from "Nujum", the Arabic word for stars, and that is what this place is about. Each of the 63 villas on the Ummahat Islands has its own pool and a telescope on the terrace, and since August 2026 Nujuma has been one of the first two DarkSky Approved resorts in the world.
