About Oliver Braun Consulting
An agency from Munich for hotels and destinations in the German-speaking travel trade.
We represent luxury hotels and destinations
Oliver Braun founded Oliver Braun Consulting GmbH in Munich. We represent hotels and destinations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Our aim is to be the leading representation for luxury hotels and destinations in the German-speaking market.
A representation office works for a hotel or destination like a local sales office. We talk to travel agencies and tour operators so that they know the product and recommend it with confidence.
Our current project is Red Sea Global. You can find earlier stations under Projects.
The people behind the agency

Oliver Braun
Oliver Braun has worked in luxury hospitality since 1990, at Hyatt, InterContinental, Sun International, Shangri-La, Kerzner and the Sani/Ikos Group. He has worked in Muscat and Riyadh and knows the Gulf region from his own work.
He built regional sales and marketing for Sani and Ikos in the German-speaking market, sharpened the market position of One&Only and Atlantis at Kerzner International, and was responsible for commercial strategy at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah in Oman and Al Faisaliah in Riyadh.
The team is growing. Open positions are listed on our careers page (in German).
How we work
"I help you unlock the talent already in your building."Oliver Braun, Founder & Principal
For us, representation is about relationships. We get to know a property well enough to recommend it from our own experience, and we pass that knowledge on to travel agencies honestly, with facts and sources. That is how trust grows on every side, and success belongs to everyone who works on it.
Three examples from the work of Oliver Braun
Building a European business
For a South African hotel group, Oliver Braun built the presence in Europe from scratch, with his own team, his own strategy and a story European guests understood.
Influencer partnerships
When traditional advertising reached its limits, he looked for people who tell travel stories credibly and worked with them. Reach grew, and many saw the destination with new eyes.
Communications in a crisis
Ahead of the 2010 World Cup, negative headlines shaped South Africa's image. Through targeted press work he showed journalists the other side of the country and reset the coverage.
Where we work
Core markets: Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Central and Eastern Europe, and Scandinavia and the Nordics.
Partner network: Southern Europe and France, Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg), India, the United Kingdom and the USA.
How Oliver Braun got to know the Gulf
Until 2016, Oliver Braun was Cluster Director Sales & Marketing at Al Faisaliah in Riyadh, now Mandarin Oriental. The hotel hosted the Vision 2030 workshops.
Before that he worked for Sun International, first for the German-speaking market, later for the Gulf region, the Middle East and India. That is how he came to know the region and the expectations of guests from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
